And one more addition to anyone not constantly running autopilot and aware of the pre-requirements:

phablet-config autopilot --dbus-probe enable

is needed before running tests. This is documented at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/Testing#Running_Click_tests and also done automatically for me as I use UI Toolkit's test script to run my AP Testing: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-sdk-team/ubuntu-ui-toolkit/trunk/view/head:/tests/uitk_test_plan.sh
