@Lord_Shadow. I have your same motherboard (P5NE-SLI) and I regret to say that I can't test your workaround, as the "acpi=off" setting disables my Logitech wireless Mouse/Keyboard, so I can't login! I reach the gdm login screen but there is nothing I can do than switch off the PC...
