* For lucid, locally patch our /lib/udev/rules.d/60-cdrom_id.rules to include hd[a-z]. That's what Debian is doing as well, and udisks already supports that.
However, it would be our first and only deviation from upstream, so you might not like that?
* Add a debian/60-cdrom_id-ide.rules and install it only on powerpc. More packaging involved, but more "explicit", and avoids touching upstream code.
I'd go with the latter, unless you have a different preference how to package this?
Scott,
there's two ways of solving this:
* For lucid, locally patch our /lib/udev/ rules.d/ 60-cdrom_ id.rules to include hd[a-z]. That's what Debian is doing as well, and udisks already supports that.
However, it would be our first and only deviation from upstream, so you might not like that?
* Add a debian/ 60-cdrom_ id-ide. rules and install it only on powerpc. More packaging involved, but more "explicit", and avoids touching upstream code.
I'd go with the latter, unless you have a different preference how to package this?
