Sorry, can't corroborate this here. An initramfs generated after upgrade to
udev 138-2:

$ zcat /boot/initrd.img-2.6.28-8-generic | cpio -tv|grep cryptroot
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 7080 Feb 17 10:00 scripts/local-top/cryptroot
$

Everything appears to be in order here.
