Could you run that command when getting the issue
"gdbus call -y -d org.freedesktop.Accounts -o /org/freedesktop/Accounts/User32011 -m org.freedesktop.DBus.Properties.Get com.ubuntu.touch.AccountsService.Sound SilentMode"

then give us the result?
