can you do following:
assuming you have tracker 0.6.3
1) killall -9 trackerd 2) trackerd -v 1 --reindex
wait for reindex to finish and then try searching again
if ok then do:
killall trackerd (never do -9 here unless you are reindexing as it can corrupt the index) trackerd -v 1
redo search -if all works then its likely you corrupted your index previously
