The relevant part of the log is:
Not replacing deleted config file /etc/default/tomcat7
grep: /etc/logrotate.d/tomcat7: No such file or directory
chmod: cannot access `/etc/tomcat7/tomcat-users.xml': No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing tomcat7 (--configure):
 subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
