> Is this happening when you connect the camera directly? Do you see the same behaviour if you mount the card in question as removeable mass storage?

I've been testing by using the sd card since I don't have my camera usb cable around, I will try with it later on to see if that makes a difference, I'm happy to debug the issue with a debugger or with printf statement if you have any hint of where to start
