For me it doesn't work. Invoking everything on the shell just asks for things ssh does anyway. I have an env variable SSH_AUTH_SOCK that points to a keyring thing in /tmp. Trying to force a dialog by invoking stuff via ALT+F2 (no display) I onyl get a dialog for sides where I can enter a password. For passphrase stuff it is just silently failing
