Comment 7 for bug 539567

From a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.10 (quantal) , I have enabled the -proposed repo and installed the aforementioned package.
Both:

 sudo poweroff

and

 sudo shutdown -h now

correctly shutdown the computer.
