From what i can see all servers that updated netplan, netplan crashed with SEGFAULT, but not all lost their IP and had to be rebooted. Looks like systemd was reloaded as part of the unattened-upgrade, and both systemd-networkd and netplan (among other) was restarted as part of that, but it seems to vary which restarted first. If netplan restarted first and thus seg faulted, systemd-networkd then released the IP but didn't aquire a new one. But on some servers netplan was restarted after systemd-networkd and then the network connectivity wasn't affected.
