You did not answer my questions...
1) You can not resize gedit and/or gnome-terminal even using titlebar where resize area is bigger?
2) What theme are you using? Default - Ambiance?
3) Have you tried Intel only mode? It is important to understand if it is or is not problem with nouveau...
