Cooper, yehgoo's suggestion worked for me. I entered
sudo sh -c "echo 'blacklist nv_tco' >> /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-watchdog.conf"
on the command line, which just appends "blacklist nv_tco" to the "/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-watchdog.conf" list. No problems so far. I too, would like a better solution, but that's Linux for you.
