Kernel: ubuntu 3.0.0-13-generic-pae #22-Ubuntu SMP (Ubuntu 11.10 32)

As per this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/791089/comments/43 I blacklisted nv_tco and found the following:

No POST crashing on warm or cold start.
Far /far/ more responsive desktop.
Clean shutdown (system shuts down without dropping to console to display errors, get the pretty graphical dots)

There is definitely a fault with that watchdog module and the P5N-D, which has relieved me immensely; I thought it may have been hardware and was expecting to have to replace my machine.
