Firstly, you should create a patch which is conforming to the kernel rules (you can read about that in the Documentation directory of the kernel source).
Next you can send it to kernel-input mailing list and CC the same mail (with inline patch) to D. Torokhov (he is specified between authors/mantainers).
If you have already contacted them with a properly submitted patch, be patient: I am sure they have a big load of work!! I got a reply after re-sending it but if you send it as I specified you will not have delays.
