Easy to reproduce:
1) Install Gnome Commander
2) Run it and maximize it
3) Now in the menu (on the Panel) go with your mouse cursor to Bookmarks.
4) Nothing really appears now, wait a second (your hope, you will see something) - and: Crash.

Works every time i do it on my machine
