Here is a new version of the patch, which takes into account any type of FS type for /boot. It extracts the type from the /etc/fstab which is then used with the mount command.

I have tested it with /boot as :
  - ext2 (standard)
  - xfs
  - jfs

All those three did generate a vmcore file.
