I removed my Radeon card from my desktop and used the integrated Intel instead. I was able to use it flawlessly in 1920x1200 all the afternoon.

So even if it does not crash on me, the r600 driver does hang and make it difficult to use with Compiz+Unity.

I will try my Radeon again when the update to Compiz will be available.
