Oh, and please do the following:

- revert language-selector changes

- create new user
- login
- hit alt+f2
- type kdebugdialog
- hit enter
- enable everything, apply and close
- from a terminal run:
> systemsettings &> log
 - go to locale->language
- move german to the right hand list
- move german up to the top of the list
- apply and close
- in the home folder there should be a file called 'log', please attach it to this bug report

after that run the previous command again

cat ~/.kde/env/*
