The problem persists.
Upstream GNOME/GTK developers are not responding for almost a year now although a the code has been isolated.
KDE applications do well with drag and drop.

This is annoying.
Is there any workaround (besides using x11vnc as a server?)

Also Mr. Fulton should check his mailer.
