After installing the latest updates to the openprinting.ppd package the previously functional workaround of substituting the .ppd file from the Hardy repository now produces identical output to the latest .ppd file in the Intrepid repository...i.e., when printing from a text-based application certain characters are not printed correctly.

Setting the printer to use the generic postscript driver via gnome-control-panel results in correct output, however certain printer functions are not available with this driver.
