"Lessons I've learned:
1. Avoid dual-boot machines. I liked Linux just fine, but would only return to it if I could dedicate a machine to it.
2. If you must use a dual boot machine, avoid upgrading GRUB if your current version is working just fine."

Is it just me, or are the developers not on the same page as Mr. Shuttleworth? Or is this an ego thing that no-one will fix it?

It is a bug - really it is. Please don't hide behind "MS calls partition drives" or other such stuff. If I wrote a piece of code that caused 200+ users to break their Windows, I'd be pretty embarrassed - regardless of how smart I figured the users were. In fact, that's EVEN MORE reason to fix this. You always have to address the lowest common denominator.

In fact I'd expect to be fired or resign on my own and take up stamp collecting instead. haha.

Fix please.... (this is my last post on the matter). yawn
