Philippe: could you open a new report and copy/paste your description above into it? This bug is already complex to handle because of the many problems it raises, and your problem deserves a special treatment ASAP.

About the original report, I should add:

Not sure, but sound an NTP bug to me. time-admin does not get time from the servers itself -how could it, since it's not running all the time. Please check that 'ps ax | grep ntp' reports that a process is running.

> - there is no "Synchronize now" button, even if the help mentions it
This is an Ubuntu-specific patch that must have some rationale, I guess this is because this button does not give any info about the success or failure of the update. Either docs should be patched too, or the patch should be removed. Worth another report though, nobody will find this request hidden among other problems.

And please also confirm that the Europe/Ljubljana time zone issue is still in Karmic, there have been a few fixes about that. Thanks!
