In addition of doing the steps in comment #6 above, I had to do:
sudo cp libglib2.0-0_2.48.0-1ubuntu4_amd64.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/. sudo cp ./usr/bin/dpkg /usr/bin/.
Then I could run
sudo apt-get -f install
