Unfortunately, the attached logs are from a boot with the nomodeset parameter set, which means that the nouveau drivers aren't actually in use.

When you say “no video”, at what point do you lose video - Do you see the bios startup screen? Do you see the grub screen (if it is displaying for you)? Do you see a modeswitch flicker after grub? Do you see the Ubuntu purple splash screen? Can you describe what happens during boot?

Could you please run “apport-collect 615549” during a boot *without* nomodeset parameter and with “drm.debug=0x04” set? If the video goes blank when starting X you should be able to boot into recovery mode and run this command. If you get no video at all, you should be able to run this command after ssh-ing in from a second machine. If you can't ssh in or don't have a second computer available, as a last resort you should be able to boot without nomodeset, wait for the boot to finish, restart, and then collect & attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old and /var/log/kern.log.
