Sorry you had trouble getting the fixed fglrx installed on Jaunty. As a rule, proprietary driver updates are not permitted in the SRU process because SRUs must adhere to a strict policy including a careful code review, and since fglrx is closed source there is no chance of that, thus there is no need for keeping bug reports open once they're fixed in the development release.
