Comment 11 for bug 328856

Ok, well I just tried to install the 9.4 from the ati site on my Hardy amd64 with the 2.6.24-23-rt kernel and got the same results as with 9.3 in original bug report. So, no progress at this end.

In fact this is worse. I could not enable big desktop for my two monitors booting in the 2.6.24-24 generic kernel. The selection is greyed out in CCC and the aticonfig command.

aticonfig --inital=dualhead --screen-layout=left
does nothing at all.
So, I uninstalled 9.4 using the script and reinstalled 9.3 and now bigdesktop configuration is also not available there anymore. It is like amdcccle or amdpcsb from 9.4 was is not removed. This is not good.

As always, if you need anything please let me know.

I am going to try this again with 9.4 and the rt kernel starting from VESA mode sometime in the next few days and will post the /usr/share/log file if that will help.
