You might want to test the snapshot build from my PPA:
My PPA is at https://launchpad.net/~blueyed/+archive/ppa/+packages and you should be able to install the version I have uploaded for Lucid: https://launchpad.net/~blueyed/+archive/ppa/+sourcepub/1546567/+listing-archive-extra
