Marcin, thank you. The update is OK. I forgot that in the SRU I did not update the upstream source from 5,2,8pre1 to 5.2.8. The PPD updating works now as the output of the update process says
Updating PPD files for gutenprint ...
PPD for printer Epson-Stylus-DX4050 updated
Fix is verified.
