For plain users that want some relief while this is being worked on -
ATM lintian is just a recommend of aptdaemon, if you don't need it otherwise then just remove, aptdaemon will not error in it's absence.

If you do make use of lintian and are bothered by this than you can just remove the section of code causing this in worker.py
(currently look around starting at line 1155
