I am not sure if this is exactly the same problem, but I had similar problems on R61.

I fixed the problem by adding a wait after resume. You can try my solution by putting the attached script into /etc/acpi/resume.d

My acpi-support uses the default settings, i.e.
POST_VIDEO=true
SAVE_VBE_STATE=true
SAVE_VIDEO_PCI_STATE=false
