We've got another package in our PPA now, with all but one issues resolved:

$ lintian gnome-lirc-properties_0.2.0-0ubuntu1~ppa3_i386.deb
W: gnome-lirc-properties: package-contains-empty-directory usr/share/locale/
$

This warning happens, 'cause we don't have message catalogs yet.
