The style we decided on was that "open source" is lowercase (but follow the normal capitalization rules for starting a sentence or using it in a header). It's hyphenated when used as an adjective.

"I like open source. Do you like open-source software?"

@Jason.Cook599: Can you ensure that the changes you've made follow these conventions? Thanks!
