May intend was to ask for a standard name. Some call it /etc/init.d/firewall other call it /etc/init.d/iptables. Some put the script in /etc/network/if-up.d/. I think it would be nice, if the server guide suggests one solution.

I think the server guide should explain more how to write firewall scripts yourself. Iptables has good documentation, this should not be copied,
but explain how to call iptables during boot in ubuntu.
