Comment 4 for bug 1112878

I have the same problem with the Daily Build of Ubuntu 14.10 downloaded on 31st August 2014, I tried the TAB then "live" and it booted. I understand this is something that seems to crop up from time to time and is related to the compiler of the build, could it be accessing an old "boot-enabler" that only worked on some hardware.
