How do I verify a download?

Release notes:

This "release" provides recent development versions of Streamtastic for testing purposes. However these are snapshots of the current ongoing development neither guaranteed to work nor well tested.

Instead of a version number, a revision number is used to tag the files (like "streamtastic-rev55.zip"). Thus it is always possible to determine the revision the build was based on and whether the file is already outdated.

Please consult the revision log for details on the changes.

So if you want to try out the latest features or help us testing, then this is the right release for you. Otherwise consider using the latest stable release.

This release introduces a gui for setting the preferences for Streamtastic, thus manual changes to the configuration file should no longer be necessary. The whole configuration framework has been reworked and the pre-run checks were removed. The minimum required streamripper version was increased to 1.64.5, so that all recording parameters from the preferences gui are supported.

Furthermore there were some minor changes to the general GUI. A column selection popup menu is now available on the table headers in Downloads and directory views. Some more substance skins are available from the look and feel menu. The About dialog was redesigned and got now 2 tabs one for genreral infos and one dedicated to copyright. The error dialog which informs about failed rips was reenabled. It accident...

The IceCast directory has been integrated into Streamtastic. It is available from the sidebar menu below the Shoutcast entry and offers all features that are known from the Shoutcast Browser except listeners count.

It is now possible to launch an external media player (like amarok, or winamp) for stream playback. When the feature is used for the first time a filechooser is offered to select your favourite shoutcast/icecast player. If you want to change the application later, just Ctrl + Click on the Play button to open the filechooser again (this is a temporary workaround until a gui for setting preferences is available). Currently ripped streams use the relay feature of streamripper (corresponds to -r [port] command line switch). This avoids 2 connection to the same station. You may s...

Release notes:

This new release incorporates several changes to many parts of the application.
In this place i would like to thank Michael Lippold for his contributions. Thanks to him we now have much
better Windows support than in the past.

We have made several improvements in the way the Shoutcast Browser handles Stations. It is now also
possible to filter them by bitrate or even search the whole Directory for a Track, Artist or Station.

The default look and feel has been changed a bit to use the Substance Window decorations and the Office Silver Skin.
On a side note the About dialog has been improved, too.

From this release on the Webstart will be second priority. We will create release ZIP files with everything you need
