I have also found inconsistent dates when entering a new event on the calendar.

If you add a new event, then click on "recurring" you will have the option of adding "exception dates". The format expected is "yyyy-mm-dd" but the drop down calendar puts into the box the format "dd/mm/yyyy".

I like the idea of a drop down calendar which helps input dates but it isn't helpful if the format input is not what is expected by the system.
