Sorry, that I'm late. I hat tried to anwser to the received mail. That was a mistake.

I have repeated the tests.

My location during 'find nearest' was lat = 48.8154 and lon = 8.9751.

The selection list was (refer to the attached picutere):

Unnamed | Fuel | 1,4km away: the fuel is at the end of the street (Refer to picture destination1)
Unnamed | Fuel | 1,9km away: the example I chose (Refer to picture destination2)
Unnamed | Fuel | 2,6km away: a point with a name
Unnamed | Fuel | 3km away: a polygon with a name
Shell | Fuel | 3,7km away: OK, a point with a name
...

For the missing names you have a reason.

For destination 1, 2 and 3 the end of the route is not near by the destination. It ends at a point, not between points. And for the second destionation it ends not at the nearest point.

When I have tested OpenSatNav the first time I missed several destinations. I thought all missed items are buildings. That was wrong! Here some placeses I miss:

Find police station doesn't find
* http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/23958204

Find hotel doesn't find
* http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/23881641
* http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/276054098
* http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/292455973

Find restaurant doesn't find
* http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/276054098

I think 'Find nearest' is a quick acceptance test for OpenSatNav.
It should work easy to use and as properly as possible to impress the newcomer.
Therefore also more destination targets are desirable, e.g. taxi, tourist information, pharmacy, toilets, ..... The wish list will grow and grow.
