Please file a seperate bug, as this is a different issue then this bug is highlighting. It is not a side-effect of the change, as the change just re-writes the zone files on re-connect. In no way does the change affect the listening socket of the regiond.

Are you seeing any stack traces in the regiond logs? Please add that to the new bug.
