Comment 7 for bug 434455

Mplayer and VLC would crash trying to play full screen video on Linux Mint 8 with an nvidia 7200GS using the NVIDIA version 96 proprietary driver. I tried several different sizes and formats in each player; same result.

Current workaround:
I changed the settings in VLC (tools > preferences > "video" tab > "output" pulldown > select "OpenGL video output"
and now just open all media with VLC. I have no mplayer workaround and have tried no other drivers.
