Comment 14 for bug 738973

"export bitmap" dialog takes very long (40s on a 1350MHz G4) to open with a file with apx. 900 items. The time required seems to be proportional to the number of objects in the file (200 objects require 10s of dialog box opening time).

Could this be related to

(file selection very slow, even if "file preview" is disabled)
