Comment 4 for bug 167290

Strange. I can't make this not work! I don't know what
settings I have different to you guys but the option key
works fine for me as ALT on both machines I have tried (iMac
and Powerbook running 10.4.4).

Under keyboard settings my modifier for the option key is
unchanged. All three options are selected under the X11
Input preferences. I've never hacked any of the keymaps.

I didn't even know this was a problem for anyone!

What machines/OS versions are people on?
