* debian/patches/cross-compile: fix the wrong invocation of AC_CHECK_PROG()
  that breaks cross-compiler detection.

* mark mawk Multi-Arch: foreign, to satisfy cross-build-dependencies.
* debian/patches/20_overlong-regexps: Do not crash if regexp is too
