I proposed a simple solution just for this provider's dependencies. I agree we should use tools to help with this task but I wouldn't like a solution to block this particular issue. Also, some more work on dependencies is needed; for instance, plainbox-provider-checkbox, which is supposed to be somewhat generic, has some desktop-specific dependences (gstreamer for instance), which end up installed on a server. So maybe we need a plainbox-provider-server and plainbox-provider-desktop packages, mainly for dependencies, and perhaps the certification providers can then have smaller recommends sets.
