I now have been affected by this bug on OSX using macPorts:

bzr 2.6.0 on python 2.7.13 (Darwin-16.3.0-x86_64-i386-64bit)

sh-3.2# port installed | fgrep bzr
  bzr @2.6.0_0 (active)
sh-3.2# bzr --version

can you check the Poert file if it contains this fix
