Bug Description

This bug was found using the ThinkPad USB Trackpoint Keyboard (http://shop.lenovo.com/us/itemdetails/55Y9003/460/60AC6A0372B14F5BA7B12F1FF88E33C7), but is most likely also present on *all* ThinkPads.

Steps to Reproduce:

1) Open Firefox
2) Navigate to any page
3) Continue on to a second page
4) Press "Back" key on keyboard (typically above left arrow key)
5) Press "Forward" key on keyboard (typically above right arrow key)

Expected Results:

The brower should navigat back to the first page after step 4 (back), and to the second page after step 5 (forward). The "Type your command" prompt should *not* appear.

Actual Results:

The browser navigates back one page after step 4 (back) and shows the "Type your command" prompt. Pressing the "Forward" key (step 5) hides the "Type your command" prompt, but does not navigate forward to the second page.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/999769/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

It sounds like the Back button actually sends an Alt+Left keycode. And Forward sends Alt+Right. In that case this is a duplicate of bug 969039.
