Broadcom [0489:e042] for BCM20702A0 will not work, bluetooth device does show and does not allow you to set up new devices.

FIX
----
Upstream patch https://lkml.org/lkml/2012/4/9/144 fixes the issue by adding the new id to the btusb_table.

Summary:
Bluetooth doesn't work. The applet makes it appear as though it should work, but clicking it simply shows turn on or off bluetooth, and doesn't allow you to setup new devices.

This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel for Oneiric in -proposed solves the problem (3.0.0-20.34). Please test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-oneiric' to 'verification-done-oneiric'.

If verification is not done by one week from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.
