Attempting a remote login using NX nomachine, I get this crash and the remote machine shows no launcher.

I encountered this bug when working on another crash in unity-2d, related to remote VNC session. See LP #965464.
Attaching valgrind output, it indicates sigsegv in geis_subscription_bag_find (geis_subscription.c:268).

Geis is not failing properly when the X server does not support the required XInputExtension protocol.
