Bug Description

As discussed in the bug #956894, it would be useful to delete specific apt component indexes.

Attaching a patch for the proposed enhancement.

I implemented it a little differently, to avoid many new global variables, and supporting multiverse, and fitting into the existing code structure better. Thanks!

This bug was fixed in the package ubuntu-defaults-builder - 0.28

  * bin/ubuntu-defaults-image: Add --keep-apt-components option, so that
    projects can choose to compromise between e. g. keeping the apt indexes
    for main to keep apport etc. working, and dropping for universe to reduce
    image size. (LP: #958573)
