This bug was fixed in the package gnome-control-center - 1:3.3.91-0ubuntu4

gnome-control-center (1:3.3.91-0ubuntu4) precise; urgency=low

  * debian/patches/96_sound_nua_panel.patch:
    - updated to r8 of the new vcs, fixes:
    - columns not correctly aligned (lp: #956888)
    - some strings were not marked translatable (lp: #957013)
    - combos resizing on profile changes (lp: #947302)
  * debian/patches/new_translations_hack.patch:
    - hack patch to add strings that will probably be added soon to
      the translation template
